Stewart Announces the New Donor Loyalty Program:  CLUB RED

Begin to earn your reward points January 1, 2006!

Stewart Regional Blood Center has adopted a new way of rewarding blood and blood product donors for their commitment to saving lives.  In the new age of technology and an era of choice, we have found that our regular Tee shirt give-away does not leave all of our donors with the amount of gratitude that it once did.  

In order to show our donors how much we appreciate their commitment, and to encourage first time donors to come back soon, we have re-vamped our incentive program.  We hope all of you will take advantage of this opportunity and feel more appreciation from the blood center through Club Red. 

Those who chose to make a commitment of giving blood at least 3 times per year will be given a Club Red membership in which they will earn points for each donation.  Those points can then be redeemed for an item of their choice.  Club Red Members may choose to redeem their points as they earn them or save them to redeem later for a larger gift.  All gifts will be shipped to the donor’s address on file within 5-7 business days. 

It is easy and fun to redeem your points!  By visiting www.clubredstore.org, members can “go shopping” and order their gifts, see a statement of their points or register for the program. For those who do not have internet access, an order form and catalog of items will be available at all centers and mobile drive locations.  But members need to be aware that points will expire every year on February 16 of the following year. 

Throughout the year, Stewart will have promotions offering double or triple points for donating.  Donors who donate on our Apheresis machines or ALYX(r) will be able to earn double points for double red cell donations.  Platelet donors will be able to donate up to 24 times a year, with the potential to earn the highest number of points and allowing them to shop the store for all the available items.  The opportunities are great for everyone!

Stewart has chosen to progress to this loyalty program in effort to better reward our committed and regular donors as well as to encourage those who may have donated one time a year to consider giving more often.  Future additions to the program include a separate store to reward our blood drive chairpersons as well as a corporate store for our financial donors.
