OFFICIAL RULES

The World of Difference Giveaway is sponsored by Carter BloodCare (CBC), a not-for-profit organization providing blood donation services to North Central Texas. ELIGIBILITY – The contest is open to legal residents of the 50 United States (including District of Columbia.) who present to give blood at any donor center or mobile blood drive operated by CBC Bedford or Waco operations center or any mobile blood drive or donor center operated by the CBC Stewart Operations center.  Employees of CBC and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.  Contest void where prohibited.  Residents of jurisdictions where this contest is not permitted, or where CBC would be required to register or be restricted in any other way, or where CBC may not have yet complied with registration or other requirements, are not eligible to win a prize. Entrants are responsible for verifying eligibility.  CBC reserves the right to permanently disqualify any person that it believes has intentionally violated these Official Rules.   HOW TO ENTER – No purchase or blood donation is required to enter the contest or to win a prize.  Persons intending to donate blood must complete a donor record provided by CBC in order to enter the contest; however, persons are not required to donate blood in order to be eligible to enter the contest.  Persons not intending to donate blood (non-donors) may enter by writing the contest name, their full name, address, phone number and email address on a 5x7 index card and mailing it to:  Carter BloodCare c/o Donor Center Promotions, 2205 Highway 121, Bedford Texas 76021.  Completed entry forms must be legible, accurate and arrive at the given address during the contest period in order to be eligible. All entries become the property of CBC and will not be acknowledged or returned

PRIZE – One GRAND PRIZE and a minimum of eight SECONDARY prizes will be awarded to winners drawn from all eligible entries received during the contest period at the time of the drawing. The SECONDARY prizes will be awarded in the form of an Olympic Sports Bag which will include Olympic sports gear and a $50 gift certificate for additional Olympic memorabilia. One GRAND PRIZE will be awarded in the form of an American Airlines gift card, good for airfare to anywhere American flies, valued up to $1000.  Prizes cannot be substituted, transferred or redeemed for cash. SELECTION OF WINNERS – The contest starts on July 1, 2008 and ends on August 31, 2008. All drawings will take place at CBC corporate headquarters, 2205 Highway 121, Bedford, Texas  76021. Drawings for the SECONDARY prizes will be held on or around 7/7/08; 7/14/08; 7/21/08; 7/28/08; 8/4/08; 8/11/08; 8/18/08; 8/25/08 and 8/30/08. One winner will be drawn each week at random from all eligible entries received since last drawing. On or around 9/4/08, one GRAND PRIZE winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries received during the contest period. CBC shall use its reasonable best efforts to contact all GRAND and SECONDARY prize winners by telephone within 5 business days to verify eligibility. If a winner cannot be contacted by CBC within 5 business days of the prize drawing or does not meet entry qualifications, the winner will be deemed ineligible and an alternate winner will be selected from the remaining entries. Drawings will be held under the supervision of CBC, whose decisions are final and binding.. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received, according to the eligibility requirements.  By entering the contest, the winner consents to the use of his/her name and likeness for publicity and commercial purposes without further compensation.  CBC is not responsible for and shall not be liable for late, lost or misdirected entries or unsuccessful efforts to notify potential winners.  CONDITIONS – By entering, participants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of CBC.  Decisions of CBC are final and binding.  By participating in the drawing, participants agree to release and hold CBC and its employees harmless from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind in connection with the drawing or the contest, or resulting from acceptance, possession or use of any prize, including without limitation, personal injuries, death and property damage, and claims based on publicity rights, defamation or invasion of privacy.  CBC reserves the right to change these Official Rules without notice.
