That is why we live our mission statement on a daily basis…To Provide a Safe and Sufficient Blood Supply to the Community.

General Donations
Stewart Regional Blood Center has been serving the greater East Texas community for 54 years. In East Texas, our reputation is well established as the primary blood center servicing Smith County and the surrounding areas. Stewart is responsible for the collection, testing and distribution of voluntarily donated blood and blood products to serve patients in 30 medical facilities in 24 counties. We are proud to serve more than one million people.
Meeting the need for voluntarily donated blood continues to present a daily challenge. With the blood banking industry changing over the years to a 100% government regulated industry, Stewart Regional Blood Center has constantly strived to keep up with the newest and most improved technology available. Stewart Regional Blood Center, in order to remain a locally controlled, independent blood center, is now challenged to turn to the private sector for support in critical areas of the medical industry.
As you are well aware, technology is changing daily and is essential in today’s market place. Thanks to the generous contributions from the community and local foundations, Stewart Regional Blood Center is able to make these technological advances that would otherwise be years away.
